Basketball Recap: Ranger Takes a Loss

Ranger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-42 loss at the hands of Three Way. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-39 back in November of 2024.

Ranger's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Cuellar, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Cuellar is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Jordan Rodriguez, who posted 13 points.

Ranger's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Three Way, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ranger will welcome Baird at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Three Way, they will host Walnut Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Three Way is facing Walnut Springs at the right time seeing as Walnut Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
