Volleyball Recap: Animo De La Hoya's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Animo De La Hoya and Smidt Tech, and Smidt Tech kept the tradition alive. The Boxers fell 3-1 to the Grey Wolves on Thursday. The Boxers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grey Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Animo De La Hoya started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-20.

Having lost for the first time this season, Animo De La Hoya fell to 2-1. As for Smidt Tech, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Animo De La Hoya will challenge South Gate at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Smidt Tech, they will head out to take on Animo Robinson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
