Softball Recap: Rise Kohyang Comes Up Short

The matchup between Rise Kohyang and Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus on Thursday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Tritons lost 17-4 to the Tigers. The Tritons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Rise Kohyang is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rise Kohyang will welcome Magnolia Science Academy Carson at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vipers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.75 runs per game on average), something the Tritons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Los Angeles Leadership Academy at 1:30 p.m. Considering the Tigers have lost seven straight at home (dating back to last season) and the Lions three straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
