Volleyball Recap: Coosa Valley Academy Rebels vs. North River Christian Chargers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coosa Valley Academy had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the North River Christian Chargers 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Coosa Valley Academy never let North River Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 26-24.
Kadence Fields was nothing short of spectacular: she had four aces, three digs, and a kill. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Macey Taylor, who had nine digs and two aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Coosa Valley Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 11 consecutive matches.
