Baseball Game Preview: Livingston Wolves vs. Central Valley Hawks

The Livingston Wolves will challenge the Central Valley Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Livingston, who comes in off a win.

Livingston made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Atwater, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Livingston put the hurt on Atwater with a sharp 7-1 victory on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolves have posted against the Falcons since May 12, 2021.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Central Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 8-4 to Patterson.

Mason Whitworth was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Livingston, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Livingston suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Central Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Livingston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
