Football Recap: Hebbronville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Banquete last Friday, Hebbronville came back down to earth. The Longhorns lost 40-16 to the Santa Rosa Warriors on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 21, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Hebbronville dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Santa Rosa, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coincidentally, Hebbronville and Santa Rosa will both be playing Taft the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Longhorns will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
