Football Recap: Lakeland Regional Comes Up Short at Home Against Wayne Valley

Lakeland Regional unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 33-7 to the Wayne Valley Indians on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lakeland Regional will face off against rival West Milford at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th. Meanwhile, Wayne Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Newark Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
