Basketball Recap: Columbia Falls Despite Big Games from Blake Hansen and Max Keller

Columbia lost against Middleton back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Columbia Wildcats took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middleton Vikings.

Despite the defeat, Columbia had strong showings from Max Keller, who to rack up 20 points and four steals, and Blake Hansen, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Hansen is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

Columbia now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Middleton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season. As for Middleton, they will face off against Skyview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Middleton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
