Prairie View scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. The matchup between the Thunderhawks and the Mullen Mustangs didn't end well, with the Thunderhawks falling 70-53. The defeat leaves the Thunderhawks still looking for their first win of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Prairie View lost, don't look at Daniel Dunn. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-20 to rack up 22 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ondray Reed, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 11 points.

Mullen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Troy Mailo, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Mailo also posted an assist, marking his first of the season. Kevin Lewis was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Prairie View's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mullen, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
