Soccer Game Preview: South Walton vs. Niceville

South Walton hasn't had much luck against Niceville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. South Walton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Niceville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when South Walton really get things going. South Walton never let Bay onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Seahawks have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Nate Lech and Martin Fajardo scored all three of South Walton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November, Niceville was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. Neither they nor Choctawhatchee could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

South Walton's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those six contests. Niceville's draw gives them a new season record of 4-3-2.

South Walton might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Niceville in their previous meeting back in January. Can South Walton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
