Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Tara Trojans
The Northeast Vikings's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over Tara. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northeast also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Northeast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyvia Davis, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Lyons , who scored ten points along with eight assists and five steals.
Northeast has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Tara, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast will face off against Central Private at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tara will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Covington at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
