Recap: West Tallahatchie Choctaws vs. Leland Cubs
The West Tallahatchie Choctaws had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on Leland with a sharp 46-25 win. West Tallahatchie has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Tallahatchie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drexel Miller, who scored 12 points. Cavorgie Robinson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West Tallahatchie pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Leland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Tallahatchie and West Bolivar will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Leland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Simmons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
