Basketball Recap: Evangelical Christian Takes a Loss

Evangelical Christian suffered their biggest loss since November 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 62-34 loss at the hands of the Harding Academy Lions. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Harding Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chazaiah Curry led the charge by putting up ten points along with eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals Curry has posted since back in November of 2024. Jevin Crochrell was another key player, earning 13 points and three steals.

Evangelical Christian's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Harding Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Evangelical Christian will face off against St. George's at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. St. George's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.3 points per game this season. Harding Academy has already played their next match (against First Assembly Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
