Football Recap: Lebanon Comes Up Short

Lebanon fell victim to Garden Spot and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 38-0 defeat at the hands of the Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Cedars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Spartans are ranked 183rd).

Garden Spot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Seth Musselman, who rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 99 yards and one TD. What's more, Musselman racked up 99 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabe Martin, who gained 128 total yards and a touchdown.

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Garden Spot, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Lebanon has already played their next game, a 28-6 defeat against Conrad Weiser on the 5th. As for Garden Spot, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 40-31 loss against Ephrata on the 5th.
