Senior sports a .711 on-base percentage then wreaks havoc on opposing pitchers, catchers, defenses.

Emmie Walker presents all sorts of problems for opposing teams. The Coalinga senior is hitting a robust .650 (52 of 80) with 25 RBI, 42 runs and an on-base percentage of .711.

It's what Walker does once on base which really wreaks havoc. She leads all California players with 66 stolen bases, according to MaxPreps leaderboards.

Walker has swiped bases in all but four of the Horned Toads' 28 games with highs of six in two games during the month of May.

Only two other players in the Golden State — Kennedy (Richmond) freshman Angela Taylor (55) and Calvary Chapel (Downey) sophomore Isabella Ochoa (54) — have stolen at least 50 bases in 2022.

MaxPreps compiles leaderboards from statistics supplied by high school coaches from throughout California and the country.
