Baseball Recap: Howards Grove Takes a Loss

Howards Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Winnebago Lutheran Academy Vikings.

Howards Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Hayden Hanke also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Howards Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howards Grove will host Sheboygan Area Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they will face off against Horicon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
