Volleyball Recap: McKinleyville Panthers vs. St. Bernard's Crusaders
After flying high against Fortuna last Tuesday, McKinleyville came back down to earth. The McKinleyville Panthers fell just short of the St. Bernard's Crusaders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
While McKinleyville ultimately came up short, they really made St. Bernard's work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 26-28, 26-24, 15-13.
Sarah Luna was the offensive standout of the game as she had 14 digs and three aces. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in aces.
McKinleyville's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for St. Bernard's, the win got them back to even at 15-15.
As of now, neither McKinleyville nor St. Bernard's have any future games scheduled.
