Volleyball Recap: Foundation Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Foundation Academy managed to slip by The First Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Royals on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since October 17, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-19.

Defeat or not, Foundation Academy got some senior leadership from Kaitlyn Hatfield and Luna Dela Cruz. Hatfield had 20 digs and two aces, while Dela Cruz had 14 digs. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Hatfield.

Leading The First Academy to victory were Selah Kohler and Taylor Loveless. Kohler had 12 digs and two assists, while Loveless had nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Loveless has posted over her last seven matchups.

Foundation Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for The First Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Foundation Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against The Master's Academy on the 25th. As for The First Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Bishop Moore on the 24th.
