Baseball Recap: Canal Winchester Comes Up Short

Bishop Hartley hit Canal Winchester with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 9-2 to the Hawks. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Canal Winchester and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Bishop Hartley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Canal Winchester and Bishop Hartley will both be playing Dublin Scioto the next time they take the field. The Hawks will host the Irish at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 3:30 p.m.
