If Friendship Collegiate Academy was riding high fresh off their 58-12 takedown of Friendship Tech Prep Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights lost 67-46 to the Alexandria City Titans on Saturday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Friendship Collegiate Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Miyazia Harris, who went 5 for 11 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonae McKnight, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 13 points.

Gabrielle Barnes-Thomas continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Alexandria City, putting up 30 points. Those 30 points gave Barnes-Thomas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kori Dickerson, who posted 12 points.

Friendship Collegiate Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for Alexandria City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Friendship Collegiate Academy will host KIPP College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexandria City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Victoria Patrick and Emma Komaily.
