Colonial Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Pinecrest Glades Academy Dragons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

While Colonial Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-14.

Looking ahead, Colonial Christian will square off against Westwood Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, they will take on Pinecrest Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinecrest Glades Academy has now lost seven straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 2.
