Baseball Recap: Ware Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Ware had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Monson on Wednesday. The Indians blew past the Mustangs 14-3. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brody Koczur was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Trevor Millet, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ware kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.

Ware's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Monson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
