Softball Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

Perry Central fell victim to West Marion and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Trojans. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Perry Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylah Steele, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Steele's first of the season.

Perry Central now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for West Marion, the win keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

Coming up, Perry Central will square off against Hattiesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hattiesburg has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for West Marion, they will face off against Our Lady Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.85 runs per game on average), something West Marion will no doubt try to take advantage of.
