Mohawk Area came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Hopewell Vikings get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Reagan Magno was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lydia Cole, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Mylie Pistorius also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Mohawk Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in six consecutive games.

Mohawk Area's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Hopewell, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
