Basketball Recap: Richfield Victorious

Richfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 63-57 win over the Spanish Fork Dons on Thursday.

Despite the defeat, Spanish Fork had strong showings from Austin Olsen, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds, and Gage Christensen, who shot 44% from the field en route to 19 points. Olsen is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Kade Leatherwood was another key player, putting up eight points.

Spanish Fork's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Richfield will challenge Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spanish Fork, they and Crimson Cliffs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
