Lake Norman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 58-52 W over the McDowell Titans on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won 21 matchups in a row.

Lake Norman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexis Shehan out in front who went 8-for-16 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. Rayana Minard was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 17 points and four steals.

Lake Norman pushed their record up to 29-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.4 points. As for McDowell, their loss ended an 18-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 30-1.

Lake Norman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McDowell, they will challenge Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wakefield will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something McDowell surely won't give up without a fight.
