Matthew Escoto gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Torres is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-17 otherwise.

Coming up, Escoto and Torres will take on Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Toros got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Rough Riders thanks in part to Escoto: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits.
