Softball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Lakeland was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 8-2 to the Holy Cross Crusaders. The game marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lakeland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamri Naniewicz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Naniewicz hit this season.

Lakeland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. As for Holy Cross, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Lakeland has already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Honesdale on the 4th. As for Holy Cross, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 victory against Riverside on the 4th.
