Basketball Recap: Southern Alamance Comes Up Short

Southern Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a blow against the Eastern Alamance Eagles, falling 55-11. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 72-27 loss last Tuesday.

Southern Alamance got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Madison Holloway and Sarah Kathryn Maness, who each put up four points.

Southern Alamance's record now sits at 2-22. As for Eastern Alamance, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Southern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern Alamance, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Alamance knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Orange likes a good challenge.
