Football Recap: Bluffton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bluffton extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Axton Beste. The Tigers blew past the Woodlan Warriors 42-7 on Friday for which the team can thank Beste, who threw for 203 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and one score. Beste is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

Bluffton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Elijah Bertsch.

Bluffton's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Woodlan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton will face off against Jay County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woodlan, they will challenge Southern Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
