Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Eastlake Titans

The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders will head out to take on the Eastlake Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67 points per game this season.

St. Joseph Academy is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Orange Glen: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that St. Joseph Academy blew Orange Glen out of the water with a 96-36 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 52 point advantage.

St. Joseph Academy's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Sutherlin, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 18 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Sutherlin a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Gale, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and four steals.

St. Joseph Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Eastlake lost to Southwest SD on the road by a 75-57 margin on Wednesday.

The win got St. Joseph Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Eastlake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
