Baseball Recap: Parkway Central Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Parkway Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Dominic Crusaders 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colts have posted since March 30th.

Parkway Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-13. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for St. Dominic, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-7.

Parkway Central and St. Dominic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Colts (ranked 90th) will meet Parkway West (ranked 216th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Dominic will take on Webster Groves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (37 vs. 186).
