Soccer Game Preview: Bowdon vs. Trion

Bowdon hasn't had much luck against Trion recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bowdon Red Devils will square off against the Trion Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Bowdon has given up an average of 7.5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Bowdon is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to Mt. Zion.

Meanwhile, Trion put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Coosa 5-1. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by four goals or more this season.

Trion's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five games. As for Bowdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Bowdon might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Trion in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Can Bowdon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
