Baseball Recap: Copley Takes a Loss

Copley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hudson Explorers. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Explorers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Copley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Able, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Copley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Hudson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Copley will take on Orrville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hudson, they will venture away from home to challenge Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
