            Softball Recap: Grant Generals vs. Franklin Quakers        
        
		
        
        
            Grant managed to slip by Franklin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Generals lost  20-11 to the Quakers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Generals have suffered  since April 30, 2024.
  Nora DuLong and  Anya Rumage stepped up to the plate in a big way.  DuLong  went 4-for-5 with five  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run, while  Rumage  went a perfect 5-for-5 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Abigail Butler, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Grant and  nudges their season record down to 10-15. Those  losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Franklin, their victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-13-1.
As of now, neither Grant nor the Quakers have any future games scheduled.
