Baseball Recap: Marcellus Goudeau Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Kansas City

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pembroke Hill, Raytown South was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the North Kansas City Hornets get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

The result came thanks to Reed Hamby's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Raytown South is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Raytown South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcellus Goudeau, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Raytown South's record is now 4-10. As for North Kansas City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raytown South will challenge Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Kansas City, they will square off against Park Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
