Soccer Recap: Alexandria-Monroe Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Alexandria-Monroe was not quite Elwood's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The defeat leaves Alexandria-Monroe still looking for their first win of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Leodan Serrano, which was the first he's scored this season.

Alexandria-Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Elwood, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Alexandria-Monroe will head out to challenge Anderson Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elwood, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Southern Wells at 5:30 p.m.
