Kady Olsen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kayla Horana, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Bustos, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Robbinsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let Cinnaminson get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday.
The result came thanks to Lexi Lopez's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks.
On the hitting side, Caroline Kapferer was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Lucie Canuso also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Hightstown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Robbinsville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hightstown has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Robbinsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Hightstown couldn't quite get it done against Robbinsville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 13-8. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
