Basketball Game Preview: Gladewater Bears vs. Troup Tigers

Gladewater is 1-6 against Troup since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Gladewater Bears will look to defend their home court against the Troup Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

Gladewater is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 24th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-47 heartbreaker at the hands of West Rusk.

Meanwhile, Troup had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past the Tigers with a 50-45 win.

Gladewater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Troup, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
