Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pace

While Pace's victory against Milton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on April 4th.

Not much got past Hannah DeMarcus, who gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep Milton off the board. DeMarcus has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in 19 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gracie Ueberroth, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

The victory was the third in a row for Pace, bringing their record up to 18-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Milton, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11.

As of now, neither Pace nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
