Soccer Game Preview: Jackson vs. Pike County

Jackson hasn't had much luck against Pike County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Jackson needed a bit of extra time to put away Rutland. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hurricanes a 3-0 shutout. Jackson haven't had any issues with Rutland recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Anslie Atkinson and Ella Crockarell scored all three of Jackson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Pike County won against Rutland on Tuesday with ten goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Westside. Considering Pike County have won five contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson's record now sits at 4-2. As for Pike County, their record is now 6-2.

Jackson might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Pike County in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
