Baseball Recap: Mifflin Takes a Loss

Mifflin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces.

Wilfred Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Mifflin's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

While Mifflin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
