Basketball Recap: Newcomb Takes a Loss

Newcomb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Crownpoint Eagles, falling 64-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Skyhawks have suffered against the Eagles since February 10, 2022.

Newcomb's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Crownpoint, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Michael's the next time they take the court. Newcomb will head out to face St. Michael's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Crownpoint will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
