Baseball Recap: Saranac Spartans vs. Northeastern Clinton Cougars
Saranac won the last time they faced Northeastern Clinton, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Saranac Spartans had just enough and edged the Northeastern Clinton Cougars out 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for Saranac.
Landon Giroux was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Lucia, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Saranac's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Northeastern Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Saranac will be playing at home against Chazy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeastern Clinton, they will head out on the road to challenge Saranac at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
