Recap: Willits Wolverines vs. South Fork Cubs
The Willits Wolverines had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by South Fork 63-25. Willits has struggled against South Fork recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
South Fork's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevor Hunt, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tommy Rotbergs, who scored 15 points.
Willits' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for South Fork, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Willits will head out on the road to face off against St. Helena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Fork, they will square off against Cloverdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
