Basketball Recap: Stillwater Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Stillwater, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in November. They strolled past the Ponca City Wildcats with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-38. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

The win got Stillwater back to even at 1-1. As for Ponca City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stillwater will take on Putnam City North in a tournament on Thursday. Putnam City North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Stillwater likes a good challenge. As for Ponca City, they will head out on the road to challenge Muskogee at 6:30 p.m. on December 17th.
