Softball Preview: Dowagiac Chieftains vs. South Haven Rams

After both having extra time off, the Dowagiac Chieftains and the South Haven Rams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Dowagiac barely beat St. Joseph the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chieftains put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 7-1 win last Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chieftains.

Rebecca Guernsey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Guernsey was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
