Basketball Recap: Westchester Country Day Takes a Loss

Westchester Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Forsyth Country Day Furies and fell 63-27. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Furies are ranked tenth).

Westchester Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Forsyth Country Day, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4.

Westchester Country Day will host Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Forsyth Country Day, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Durham Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Durham Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Forsyth Country Day surely won't give up without a fight.
