Baseball Recap: Manheim Central Barons vs. Muhlenberg Muhls

Manheim Central and Muhlenberg squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Manheim Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Muhlenberg Muhls by a score of 6-5. Manheim Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Muhlenberg apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March.

Kyle Mylin put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Mylin has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Mylin was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brody Groff was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Manheim Central didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with nine strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Muhlenberg only tossed four.
