Football Recap: Woodland Park Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Woodland Park had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-0 victory over the Lincoln Lancers. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nathan Summeril was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 91 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 91 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Bryce Bischoff was another key player, rushing for 40 yards and one score.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland Park will head out to take on Salida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to face off against Peyton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
